Now that 2015 is winding down, I think we can say with confidence that Katie and JK’s wedding was our favorite this year! If you like what you see in this video then call us for next year and get on our schedule!

Not only that, but we were featured in Triad Weddings Magazine! Read the scanned pages below or just click this link and view the high-quality version. Shout out to Amanda Sutton Photography!

Great things are in store for Brick Street Cinema. We have been through it all and we have seen time and again that friendship, love, and kindness always win out over frustration, hate, and cynicism. We want to say thank you to our clients for allowing us to share their most important moments! And thanks to our friendors for sending us jobs, for watching our back, and for helping us to laugh and have fun with it!

Peace to you!

We love getting to know the brides and grooms who hire us to document their day. That’s where the flavor is! We don’t want to know ways you fit the mold, we want to know the ways you’re different!
For Stephanie and Colin, the story involves overseas travel and mission work. Stephanie was living in Scotland where she met Colin, and now in 2015 Colin brought his family and friends to Wilmington NC to watch his marriage to Stephanie. The culture clash was palpable, with several individuals being overheard asking the Scots to simply “say something because I love your accent!” True love prevailed, however, and the true spirit of love and family were all around. The groomsmen performed a line dance, posed with flowers, and the evening waned as we watched the sunset from the deck of 128 South. Tammy Bunn with Treasured Moments Photography was in place and ready to snap the shutter for all the key moments.

Here are a few stills for you to look at on your screen, and soon we will have a video ready to display as well. In the meantime, tell us what you think of kilts on our Facebook Page!

Have you been to Sea Trail? We had no idea where this little treasure was located, but when we arrived we were glad we made the journey. We were able to get there without much fuss, and being a lesser-known location was good because there were zero crowds! The beautiful wedding was photographed by Amanda Sutton and her assistant Hannah. They did a great job of capturing Katie and JK’s story, while being extremely helpful and kind to the Brick Street team.

DJ Professionals ran the dance floor, helping everyone get a little bit rowdy. Our bride Katie did not want to leave the dance floor! Playing a big role in this wedding, the DJ Professionals Photobooth was a hit.

Cakes By The Sea did a tremendous job of setting JK and Katie up with a beautiful and sweet cake. Sea Trail made sure we all got a piece of cake! Can you believe they took care of us when we were there working just like they would take care of normal wedding guests? That does not happen often. The food was succulent, aromatic and tender.

Overall, this was my favorite wedding so far this year, and it took us out of the spring season with a bang. Combining services with video, DJ, and photobooth is always a solid bet because we work well together. Hire all of us at once and we will be your little helpers. Thanks Katie and JK for hiring Brick Street Cinema! Can’t wait for you to see the video!

Here’s the latest version of Tirell and Ronita’s Highlights Film. Their wedding day was rainy, but you can see from this video that rain is not always a bad thing. We enjoyed getting to know the newlyweds and capturing the happiness of the day. Things got a little bittersweet in the reception, but the underlying focus on positivity, love, and family show through it all. Some of our family is no longer with us and we miss them, but we love the ones who are around us and we make the most of it. You can tell this couple understands what is really important. Tell us what you think on Twitter!

Our third Fake Wedding has come and gone! Each one we’ve done has been different in the people involved, the visual imagery, the weather–everything but the location! Our guests enjoyed passed hors d’ouevres from Thyme Savor Catering, then washed them down with some signature cocktails from On The Rocks Bartending. The charity benefit raffle is always a hot event and this was no exception. Certain individuals had a hard time holding all the tickets they bought! The good news is that the babies in the NICU at New Hanover Regional Medical Center will be receiving some gifts!

If you have never witnessed the “Newlywed Game,” you are missing a fun time! DJ Professionals ran the show, calling out “Who controls the remote” or “Who is the better driver?” The results were quite controversial for our guests, and I’m sure there were several heated discussions on the drive home thanks to us.

Knot Too Shabby Event Coordination was the behind-the-scenes presence we depended on to be the backbone of the event.

Anchored In Love Photography was there to snap the photos, with Kelly laughing and smiling all over the place, and even tearing up the dance floor.

Our bridal party was dressed to the nines in snazzy duds generously loaned from bevello Boutique, The Wedding Dress Shoppe, Cape Fear Formal Wear, and topped off with floral garnishes from Desi’s Floral and Design Studio. Adrianne Lugo Professional Hair and Makeup Artists got our bridal party close-up ready. TJ Dunn was there to match up all our style choices and make them work together. It almost seems like everything was chosen to go together!

Event Shuttle Service whipped our bridal party around in style; a Rolls-Royce no less! Our downtown neighbors at Hot Pink Cake Stand provided pink champagne and coconut cupcakes, and the video team may or may not have smacked their lips and drooled a little bit.

We had a deck furniture setup straight out of a luxury high-rise from Eventful Furniture and Design. Jamie and Jimmy at ETC Party Rentals did their usual outstanding work which you can see in the dining room. They say there are people so good at their jobs that when they’re done, you won’t be sure they’ve done anything at all. ETC is definitely an example of this. We’ve come to cherish their contributions to any event at which we are present.

Brooke from Southern Bee designs made us look so professional with all her chalk art and visual design of our promotion materials. Last but first in our hearts, Khalilah with A Boxed Event added the extra touches we needed to make The River Room look like a Shakespearean utopia. So many interesting people contributed a lot of work to this event and it really shows. Watch the video below and let us know what ideas you would borrow for your own wedding!
